It’s one the versions about the famous big-hearted hero who we know all about. I found it fascinating because this story starts before Robin’birth. The auteur shared with us his point-of-view. He tells us how the character become an out-of-law, how he grows up, his cleverness, his loyalty of steel and his attachment to Sherwood’s forest. No forget to mention his meeting with the beautiful Marianne. She accomplished to steal the prince of thiefs’ heart.
Sherif of Nottingham is still our hero’s nemesis. Robin Hood shows a lot of mischief and humour to play on him. However, Sherif will unfortunately know many victories which move us.
I can tell you all the story that you already think to know. Yet, some details are different from other versions and don’t allow me to tell further. Nevertheless, I advice you to read this book if a opportunity shows up. It made me crying, laughed and amazed. Maybe it’s just nostalgia which make me speak this way, who knows? It’s chilhood cookie that you have to taste it!
