Summary: Young David Baskin, basketball star of Boston Celtics, dies unexpectedly while on honymoon in Australia. His bride Laura is suspicious and wants to know what really happened. It couldn’t be suicide. Fame, money, love, David had it all. Findig the truth might be more dangerous than Laura thinks.

I read this version in its original language. I was looking for a book that will be interesting enough to keep me reading in english. The main thing that caught my eyes was the basketball’s theme. I used to practice basketball for a long time, therefore such topic was naturally interesting to me. Furthemore, I like polar novels, couldn’t hope for better to my first reading in english.

I love this story! The only reason which it tooks me three months to read it was because english was not my finest grades at this time. The scheme was fascinating. As always to this matter, character was forced to revealed themselves more than they wanted. Secrets exposed after so long kept the suspens up. As I told you sooner, I like this kind of stories. By nature, I build many theories while reading it. Some of them appeared to be right and other were dead-ends. One of disclosures had greatly disrupte me. So much that I was praying throughout all chapters that another plot appeared to make lied this disclosure.

I also really appreciated the main character with whom we tagged along the case, Laura. The fact that she was way off the usual weak feminine figure. She’s quite the opposite and reveal herself as strong figure. Business women, ex model, past intricated, smart… However, she didn’t evolve in feminine version of Sherlock Holmes. She founds help by way of people whose work on cases. Doesn’t mean that she waited for answers while doing nothing. She was looking around too.

In short, final conclusions mostly suprised me, except for one or two that I suspected the end. The story was well-writting and kept me in supens till the end of the book. Take a bite: cookie flavour thriller assured!
